Here are some things to keep in mind when disciplining students:

Be consistent - If you permit some students to break rules but reprimand others, it sends students a confused message.

When redirecting a student, be specific. Don't say - "I've had enough of that!" Do say - "You need to sit in your seat right now."

Do not argue with a student. Tell the student he/she needs to stop arguing. Then tell him/her the behavior he/she needs to exhibit. For example, "Stop arguing right now. You need to move to your assigned seat."

On a regular basis, remind the students what you expect from them while they are on the bus.
